I *HEART* Pinterest

Seriously, I haven't met one woman or young lady yet who says they hate Pinterest!  It's all guys who don't like it.  I hear men all the time balking about how Pinterest is a waste of time, money and energy.  WHAAAAAAAT!?  Blasphemy!  Where's the pitch and tar!?

If I were younger, I'd write "I **heart** Pinterest" all over my notebook.  No really.  I'd marry it.  Okay, not really...but close.  I'd have an affair with it.  Actually, I kinda already do. ;)

So for those of you who aren't on Pinterest yet and have no clue how it works (HOW is this possible, I ask!?  You send me a message with your email and I'll personally invite you into the pinning world) let me 'splain.  It's basically an internet pin board of ideas.  Get it? PIN-terest...pin your interests.  Sorry, I know you aren't that obtuse NOT to get it, but on the off chance, there's the pun. So you peruse through alllll these neat ideas or search for specific ones, and when you find one that strikes your fancy then you click the little tab that says "pin" and it will give you a few boards "think cork boards or magnetic boards" to choose to pin it on.  I have one for "Recipes", "Things I Want To Make", "Holiday Ideas", etc.  You get the idea, right!?
Bubble Fun

Yesterday I made THIS pin.  A giant plastic bubble for the kids to play in!  WHAT FUN!  I had my doubts as I was assembling it - would it actually fill up?  Would it  be big enough for all these fun-hungry, salivating neighbor kids? Will the parents of said kids think I am an absolute NUT for putting this in my yard and putting their kids at risk for suffocation?  The answer is YES to all. :)  I saw a few parents carefully watching, wondering what the heck I was doing, but once that sucker was blown up it was nothing but cheers. Hubby and I even got in for awhile. It cost all of six bucks to make (the cost of two plastic drop cloths) and about 20 minutes to tape together and VOILA, instant fun.  And my kids will remember this for a loooooong time. I'm also documenting this stuff via blog and photo album so that when my kids are grown and complain about their childhood, I have actual proof that they lived a ridiculously happy childhood.

Cardboard Gas Pump

And this is my next project idea.  How cute! Re-purposed cardboard boxes made into a gas pump.  I KNOW the kids and neighbor kids will use the heck out of this.

Pinterest has increased my awesome Mom-ness and for that I am eternally grateful!  Happy Pinning, Friends!

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this website. It's
simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's very difficult to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you've done a
fantastic job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast
for me on Safari. Exceptional Blog!
